WHY WE'RE HEREAnduril's Land Systems is seeking a Mission Software Engineer- Estimation & Tracking to join our team. The Land Systems team at Anduril develops software for land-based robotic systems, leveraging software infrastructure built by other Anduril product teams. The team is responsible for taking manned and unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) robots from paper sketches to operational systems.

We work in close coordination with specialist teams like Perception, Autonomy, and Hardware/Manufacturing to solve some of the hardest problems facing our customers.Anduril is developing software at the intersection of machine learning, computer vision, and sensor fusion. As a Mission Software Engineer- Estimation & Tracking you will be bringing together data from drones, cameras, radars, and many other sources into a single combined operational picture which enables users and autonomy to complete their missions.

We develop cutting edge software for autonomous operation and situational awareness by having sensors and systems that work together to improve over time. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBS, MS, or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Applied Math, Physics or related fieldExperience developing production grade softwareProficiency in production-grade C+ software developmentStrong math skills, especially in linear algebra and probabilityStrong communication skill and the ability to take large problems and break them down into actionable partsMust be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearanceTravel up to 25%PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSWe are looking for engineers with professional experience in one or more of the following areas and are interested in learning more:Experience processing sensor measurements from Radar, Optical Sensors, RF Sensors, or LIDARExperience with sensor characterization and modelingFamiliarity with classical and contemporary approaches for state estimation and tracking (eg Kalman Filter, Particle Filter)Derivation of performance metrics and analysis of system performanceExperience with Visual Inertial Odometry (VIO)Camera and sensor calibrationFamiliarity with Ceres Optimizer or other optimizersMulti-target prediction and tracking (eg, Multi-hypothesis tracking)Probabilistic inference and Bayesian likelihood estimation (eg, Markov Chain Monte Carlo)Experience in unmanned aerial systemsExperience in Docker, CircleCI, LinuxUS Salary Range$132,000-$198,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
