Job Title: Junior Quantity SurveyorCompany: Main ContractorLocation: Manchester Sectors: Education, Healthcare, Commercial and Public/GovernmentIndustries: Fit Out, Refurbishment, New Build projects up to £10MType: Full Time Permanent RoleSalary: £25,000-£30,000 plus car allowance and packageJob Description:Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing the costs of construction projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and to the highest quality standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development in the field of quantity surveying with the chance to progress into a major decision maker for the business.

Responsibilities:Assist in preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantitiesConduct cost analysis and provide accurate estimates for construction projectsAssist in evaluating subcontractor quotations and negotiating pricesConfidently put packages and orders togetherMonitor project progress and costs throughout the construction phasePrepare and submit progress and cost reports to project stakeholdersAssist in resolving any contractual or commercial issues that may arise during projectsCollaborate with project managers, architects, site managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project successRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related fieldStrong analytical and numerical skillsProficiency in MS Office Suite and quantity surveying software Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentDetail-oriented with strong organisational skillsKnowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations is preferred but not requiredRelevant internship or work experience is a plus - ideally candidate has 1 years experience in the construction industry post-degree.Must be based in the Manchester area to commute to the office in Northern Manchester.Possess a Full UK Driving License Qualifications required-BSc (Hons) Quantity SurveyingIf you'd like to apply, please submit an updated CV.
