AMD together we advance_THE ROLE:As a key member of a dynamic AMD Adaptive SoC Competitive Marketing team, this role will be responsible for competitive analysis, sales enablement, sales/field training and outbound competitive messaging for AECG Adaptive SoC/FPGA portfolio. THE PERSON:The person in the role of Adaptive SoC/FPGA Competitive Marketing and Sales Enablement is an experienced, skilled, creative, detail-oriented and self-motivated team player. This person will be deeply steeped in the FPGA market-key technologies, key competitors, how customers evaluate FPGA products and related tools, and knows how to quantitatively articulate technology and product advantages versus FPGA competitors.

This role works closely with technology and product marketing, sales enablement, performance engineering, architecture, legal and other business unit partners to document proof points and develop compelling competitive collateral. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and Maintain compelling competitive collateral for AMD Adaptive SoC portfolioProvide the first line of response to sales and field teams by providing detailed competitive analysis that quantifies AMD Adaptive SoC competitive position versus leading competitorsGenerate, document, and guide legal approval of required competitive features, performance and efficiency claims for launch, industry events and other key competitive collateralContribute competitive and technical expertise to marketing, sales and training collateralEvolve and create new trainings to help sales, field, channel and business unit partners become more familiar and empowered to sell based on superior AMD adaptive SoC featuresLead recurring cross functional competitive alignment meetings across the organizationPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:Analytical - can assess seemingly complex challenges and solutions with myriad facts and data points, and can identify those that are the most essential to the issue at handCreative - skilled in the ability to refine complexity into easily digestible information and to re-purpose relevant information without compromising integrity or veracity of dataCustomer-centric - Realizes that we have multiple stakeholders- engineering, architecture, field, sales that are vital to success, and looks to include all of these stakeholders in developing compelling competitive collateralA storyteller - can engage audiences of all types (verbally, in writing and in other formats) by telling easy-to-understand stories that deliver impactful statements of how AMD adaptive SoC products and technologies deliver exceptional value.Inquisitive - asks key questions and identifies critical details or omissions in competitive products and solutions that open the door to advantageous response by AMDResponsive - Lets stakeholders know when the issue or questions is received and understood.

Pro-actively sets and meets expectations for follow-upFlexible - can self-prioritize and adjust based on changing business demandsStrong skills in using Excel to aggregate data from disparate internal and external sources to build compelling competitive messagingYears of experience of FPGA technology experience: FPGA products, embedded SoC and software tools and technologiesDetail oriented with strong affinity for identifying and articulating ways to demonstrate how technology and innovation enables customers take advantage of AMD adaptive SoC portfolio to meet their goalsExperience in developing compelling tools and collateral that establishes AMD adaptive SoC's as a superior alternative versus competitorsDemonstrated knowledge of key FPGA customer use cases and competitive benchmark metrics (performance, efficiency, features )Experience in a large, fast growing, fast paced company and/or in the high-tech sectorGood working level knowledge of FPGA EDA and embedded software.Analytical skills and savvy to get to the most important aspects of an issue/opportunityDemonstrated cross-functional communication, diplomacy, and relationship building skillsAgility and speed in decision making-but also comfortable in taking an iterative approach ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Degree/Major: Undergraduate or Master's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Communication and/or related field required.LOCATION: San Jose, CAAMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.

Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position. You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
